Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also directed films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The majority of her childhood was spent at Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. The mother of her children was fond of watching movies and inculcated a love for film in her young daughter and also. Paula was involved with her school's cocurricular activities and especially captivated by the dramatic arts. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends as well as participating in the school's stage productions. She performed in numerous high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and then decided to pursue acting as her career. In a summer program at the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The program was awarded to her by PBS to produce documentaries over a period of three months. She started her career as a production assistant for TV when she completed this assignment. She then moved to produce documentaries. Though she loved her job but she always dreamed of becoming an actress. Her acting journey began by playing a minor role in the film romantic comedy Hitch, alongside Will Smith. Since then she's appeared in numerous productions and films.
